Milton Abbey Music Festival 2012
Plans for next year’s festival are well under way. Once again it promises to be a feast of glorious music in the beautiful settings of Milton Abbey and Milton Abbas.
The 2 main classical concerts will comprise A Night at the Opera on Friday and An Evening in Paradise on Sunday. Choruses and solos from operas by Purcell, Handel, Mozart, Humperdinck, Mascagni, Puccini, Wagner and Delibes will be performed by the Festival Singers and the ensemble, Excelsior. These choirs will be joined by Wessex Chamber Orchestra on Sunday evening for a Mozart programme including his moving Requiem and the virtuosic Exsultate, Jubilate.
